Merchandiser - Full Time Hourly Position in Vancouver

About the Role

Become part of a local, owner-operated Shoppers Drug Mart store that delivers health, beauty, and convenience services to the community, prioritizing customer satisfaction at every step.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain backroom inventory strictly following Backroom Inventory Management processes.
• Utilize PDT and MMS systems daily to execute assigned merchandising tasks efficiently.
• Oversee product exit strategies and manage product returns as directed.
• Possess expert knowledge of assigned product inventory, placement, and expiry monitoring.
• Maintain store image standards, ensuring merchandise and displays align with current trends.
• Create engaging, consumer-focused product displays to enhance shopping experiences.
• Receive merchandise following established receiving policies and maintain accurate documentation of goods received and returned.
• Keep the backroom orderly and organized adhering to backroom organization principles.
• Support store management in upholding high-quality standards throughout the store.
• Provide excellent customer service by presenting a professional image and actively assisting shoppers in aisles.
• Adhere to all health, safety, store standards, and loss prevention policies.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
• Efficient, organized, and neat in work routines.
• Adaptability to fast-changing sales floor situations.
• If handling cash, demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions.
• Basic computer literacy and cash register operation skills.
• Well-developed organizational and record-keeping capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and self-motivate.
