Role overview
Omnicom Health is looking for a Medical Writer to create a variety of high-quality communication materials for the pharmaceutical sector, supporting internal and external audiences in line with client objectives.
Writing and content development
- Assess scientific publications and data with an objective, evidence-based approach.
- Develop different types of written content tailored to the client brief, intended audience, publication format, and required balance of creativity versus structure.
- Prepare clear, accurate, grammatically polished, and engaging copy across multiple therapy areas.
- Offer original ideas, angles, and suggestions that strengthen the overall value of project deliverables.
- Review the data set, literature updates, personal output, and project resources, then act quickly where gaps or issues are identified.
Team collaboration
- Contribute to account and functional team discussions when needed.
- Brief colleagues within the account team effectively so work stays aligned.
- Partner with fellow Medical Writers to maintain strong teamwork and consistent standards across the organisation.
Client service
- Communicate with clients and opinion leaders as required, serving as a contact point for assigned projects and following up proactively for missing information.
Commercial and delivery management
- Track the time spent on each project against the planned allocation and promptly inform Account Managers of scope changes or extra time needs.
General expectations
- Handle multiple competing projects efficiently.
- Raise possible issues to colleagues without delay.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external contacts.
- Meet agreed deadlines and budget expectations.
- Adhere to company style standards and working procedures.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned.
