Overview
A prominent healthcare organization is looking for an efficient and meticulous Medical Transcriptionist to join their Cardiology Division. The selected professional will be entrusted with transcribing medical records, clinical notes, diagnostic details, and doctor's dictations accurately while upholding the highest levels of precision, confidentiality, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe a wide range of cardiology-related medical documents including physician dictations, consultation records, discharge summaries, and diagnostic outcomes.
- Ensure all transcriptions are thorough, precise, and meet established healthcare quality criteria.
- Proofread and correct transcribed materials for grammatical precision, medical accuracy, and consistency.
- Safeguard sensitive patient information and maintain strict confidentiality of medical files.
- Collaborate with doctors, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to clarify and verify unclear documentation.
- Effectively manage and prioritize transcription assignments to comply with turnaround expectations.
- Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems competently for transcription tasks.
- Assist with documentation and administrative tasks as needed within the department.
Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Nursing, EEG Technology, Cardiac Technology, Allied Health Sciences, or related healthcare field.
- Have at least 2 years of prior experience transcribing medical documents within a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology, and cardiology-specific procedures.
- Preferably have familiarity with ECG, EEG, cardiac diagnostics, and clinical documentation practices.
- Exhibit excellent English language listening, typing proficiency, proofreading skills, and communication capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and healthcare information management systems.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
