Materials Manager

Role Overview

Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya is looking for a seasoned and highly organized Materials Manager to take charge of procurement, receiving, storage, inventory oversight, and cost control across hotel operations. This position plays an important part in the Finance and Operations team by making sure goods and services are sourced efficiently, hotel quality expectations are met, and day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle purchasing and procurement activities for the hotel’s operational requirements.
• Supervise the flow of goods through receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution.
• Work with suppliers to secure strong standards in quality, pricing, and service.
• Track stock levels and carry out routine inventory checks and audits.
• Maintain adherence to Hyatt procedures as well as applicable local laws and regulations.
• Review buying patterns and look for opportunities to reduce costs.
• Partner with operational teams to support business requirements and service delivery.
• Guide, support, and develop the materials team in meeting department goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of experience in materials management, purchasing, or supply chain work, preferably in the hospitality sector. Success in this role requires strong supplier negotiation skills, vendor relationship management, familiarity with inventory systems and purchasing tools, and solid analytical, organizational, and communication abilities. The role also calls for someone who can thrive in a busy luxury hotel setting.
