Role Overview

This newly established position supports Cotton On's growth in New Zealand as it approaches its 20th year. The Marketing Specialist will act as a brand ambassador, creating engaging and inspiring marketing experiences that resonate deeply with customers. The role involves managing brand presence across social media, creator partnerships, community initiatives, and events, working closely with local and Australian teams.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

  • Lead the marketing strategy for Cotton On New Zealand with a focus on community-driven consumer engagement.
  • Manage marketing calendars, events, creator collaborations, and content review processes.
  • Oversee social media channels and content workflows from planning through to reporting.
  • Coordinate concepts and execution of events, activations, and community engagement moments from start to finish.
  • Maintain strong, thoughtful partnerships with creators and community members ensuring alignment with brand values.
  • Act both as strategist and hands-on contributor by delivering presentations, writing reports, and supporting overall team initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 to 4 years of experience in brand marketing, social marketing, or creator marketing, preferably within community-focused consumer brands.
  • Passion for developing Cotton On New Zealand as a distinct presence within the global brand portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage social media content pipelines independently.
  • Proven experience planning and executing engaging events and activations.
  • Proficient in managing creator relationships with professionalism and brand safety in mind.
