Marketing Assistant

About the Role

Washington County is hiring a full-time Marketing Assistant for the Dixie Center, a key event venue in Southern Utah. This position offers a wage of $22.15 per hour along with benefits. The role combines marketing, customer service, and operational support in a lively environment, including oversight of the Rosenbruch Museum Gift Shop.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee social media posts and assist with website content updates.
• Create marketing collateral such as flyers, brochures, signage, and digital ads.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at the front desk and support event clients’ needs.
• Help with administrative tasks including bookkeeping and maintaining office organization.
• Manage the Rosenbruch Museum Gift Shop’s daily activities, including inventory control, merchandising, and vendor liaison.
• Supervise and train gift shop sales staff and seasonal workers, handling scheduling and team support.
• Organize educational tours and contribute to special projects and events coordination.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related discipline with at least two years of relevant experience; or equivalent education and experience combination.
• Experience in communications, public relations, tourism, visitor services, or hospitality convention industry preferred.
• Proven creativity, organization, and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with social media platforms and Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid Utah Driver License required.
