Manufacturing Project Manager

Overview

The Manufacturing Project Manager oversees customer programs from internal transition through production and delivery phases, ensuring seamless coordination among Sales, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations. This position emphasizes schedule adherence, clear communication, risk management, and execution discipline to meet customer demands effectively.

Key Duties

• Manage assigned customer projects throughout production execution and delivery phases.
• Serve as the central internal liaison to align cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Maintain detailed schedules, milestones, and deliverables while proactively identifying risks affecting cost, timeline, or quality.
• Ensure customer requirements and approvals are thoroughly documented, communicated, and honored.
• Organize internal program reviews and collaborative meetings to facilitate issue resolution.
• Monitor project status, open action items, and risks; escalate concerns early with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Sales to support customer communications and ensure consistent messaging.
• Coordinate schedules with external processors, suppliers, and material partners to prevent delays and maintain workflow.
• Oversee material logistics, detect bottlenecks, and drive timely solutions via cross-functional collaboration.
• Document and communicate any changes in project scope, requirements, or priorities internally.
• Work closely with Quality and Engineering to address customer-driven requirements, approvals, and corrective actions.
• Assist with new program launches by managing onboarding, documentation, and readiness evaluations.
• Continuously improve program execution, communication processes, and transition handoffs.
• Travel up to 40% to Prince facilities and customer sites as needed.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP and project management software is advantageous.
• Adept at collaborating across diverse facilities and functional units.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related discipline preferred.
• Three to five years of project or program management experience within manufacturing.
• Experience in aerospace, space, defense, or other regulated environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of desk work involving computer use.
• Ability to access and navigate production areas.
• Flexibility to travel as required, up to 40% of time.
