About the Company
Our client is a globally recognized leader in food manufacturing and business-to-business food innovation. They boast an extensive international presence and are pioneers in taste and flavor science, spearheading product development for some of the largest global brands in the confectionery and beverage sectors.
Role Overview
- Develop and unify global sensory capabilities across diverse product portfolios, positioning sensory science as a critical driver of innovation.
- Lead the advancement of research and development by creating frameworks for sensory digitalization and integrating sensory data with instrumental analysis.
- Collaborate closely with global teams in Marketing, Consumer Insights, and R&D to establish customer-focused sensory objectives.
- Engage actively in international innovation project discussions, constructing detailed sensory strategies and interpreting intricate results to ensure project achievements.
- Conduct in-depth technical research specializing in flavor science.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and calibration of internal sensory panels to guarantee data precision, while fostering strategic partnerships with external sensory service providers.

Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s or PhD degree in Science or Engineering, preferably in Food Science & Technology or an equivalent field.
- A minimum of eight years’ substantial experience in sensory and consumer research, particularly within food consumer packaged goods, confectionery, beverage, or flavor industries.
- Profound knowledge of sensory methodologies, statistical data analysis, and consumer-focused product development.
- Strong commercial understanding of global and regional market dynamics; experience in B2B settings or FMCG product innovation is a plus.
