Role overview
They are hiring a Management Accountant to join the Commercial team in a newly created position. This role is central to producing dependable financial reporting, forward forecasts, and performance insights that support sound business decisions.
As part of the role, you will help prepare reporting for the board, build activity-based forecasts, and carry out detailed financial analysis to strengthen operational performance and support ongoing improvement. It is well suited to someone who enjoys turning financial data into practical insights and contributing tangible value to the organisation.
You will also lead a small team handling accounts-related work and take an active role in the Operational Leadership Group. In that forum, you will work with colleagues across the business to inform operational decisions and support effective day-to-day performance through a strong commercial lens.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare board-level financial reports with clear commentary on results, patterns, and differences against plan.
- Build and update activity-based forecasts to support budgeting and future planning.
- Deliver financial analysis, modelling, and pricing input that helps guide operational choices.
- Maintain accurate, reliable, and transparent financial information and reporting.
- Coordinate and guide finance team activities to improve service delivery, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen operational outcomes through robust financial processes and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field. Strong people skills are important, along with empathy and the ability to build positive connections and working relationships.
They are seeking someone with experience in a service delivery environment, strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and background in management accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis. You should be able to turn financial information into clear, practical insights.
Excellent communication, strong organisational skills, and a high level of attention to detail and data integrity are also essential.

This position reports to the Commercial Manager and sits within the Operational Leadership Group (OLG). You will be involved in day-to-day operational activity and work across departments to help deliver service excellence.
