Role overview

Infinite Care is hiring a full-time Maintenance Officer for its aged care home, Edmonton Gardens, in Edmonton, Queensland. This permanent position offers a steady weekday schedule from Monday to Friday, with shifts starting at 7:00 am and ending at around 3:00 pm. The role is paid at an hourly rate and includes a fortnightly phone allowance.

What the role involves

  • Carry out everyday maintenance tasks to a consistently high standard in line with Infinite’s procedures, plans, and service expectations.
  • Make sure emergency, preventative, and corrective maintenance work is completed according to all legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee and coordinate contractors on site when needed.
  • Help keep all maintenance needs at the facility running smoothly each day.
  • Deliver strong customer/client service while performing the role.
  • Take on a broad mix of duties such as gardening and landscaping, basic repairs, waste removal, painting, and test and tag work; training for test and tag may be provided after you start.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in property or general maintenance is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time well, and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Comfort working both on your own and as part of a team.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Good organisation, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • A valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
