About the Role

Join Aveo and contribute to enhancing the quality of life and fostering a strong sense of community for senior Australians. At Albany Creek Retirement Living, a well-established community nestled in Brisbane’s North, you will play a key role maintaining safe, functional, and attractive living environments across 11 hectares of landscaped grounds featuring amenities like swimming pools and tennis courts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete various general repairs and handyman tasks such as painting, installing pictures, and replacing light fixtures.
  • Carry out minor plumbing work including replacing taps and washers.
  • Maintain external assets including lighting and irrigation sprinkler systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure optimal condition of community facilities.
  • Manage and maintain community tools and equipment to ensure safety, orderliness, and readiness for use.
  • Document all maintenance activities, notes, and job updates accurately.
  • Engage warmly with residents and maintain a friendly presence while collaborating with the team.
  • Note: Gardening responsibilities are excluded as they are managed separately.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in trade-related or general maintenance roles involving hands-on handyman duties.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset capable of evaluating issues, troubleshooting, and implementing timely solutions.
  • Familiarity with maintenance schedules and the expected lifespans of equipment and village assets.

Employment Details
