Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview

The role focuses on overseeing the operation and upkeep of utility equipment within the maintenance department, emphasizing expertise in managing critical spare parts effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of operating and maintaining utilities, preventive and corrective maintenance for production and utility equipment including DG synchronizing panels, transformers, electrical installations, HVAC systems, sewage treatment plants (STP), effluent treatment plants (ETP), and water treatment plants (WTP).
• Diagnose faults, lead repair initiatives to minimize downtime, and conduct root cause analysis to prevent failures from recurring.
• Provide technical guidance, coordinate with contractors, ensure adherence to safety regulations, and maintain updated maintenance records to restore equipment functionality promptly.
• Maintain efficient operation of mechanical and electrical systems through servicing, troubleshooting, and repair work.
• Optimize maintenance processes to enhance machinery performance.
• Utilize maintenance management software and other computer applications proficiently.
• Create and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and engineering schematics.
• Ensure installations meet client requirements and comply with safety standards.
• Develop maintenance policies and procedures; respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Oversee maintenance schedules and inspection programs.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
• Prepare and deliver presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint; demonstrate strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 8 to 10 years of practical experience in maintenance operations, especially in preventive and breakdown maintenance of utility and production equipment as well as management of spare parts.
