Job description
About the Role
This position involves actively patrolling the entire property and assisting guests with room access. The role requires vigilant monitoring of Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety equipment. Responsibilities include securing entrances when needed and conducting daily inspections to identify potential hazards. Responding promptly to accidents, including administering first aid or CPR, is essential, as is aiding guests and employees during emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol property areas and assist guests with room access
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and fire safety mechanisms
- Lock entrances as necessary and perform daily safety inspections
- React to accidents, coordinate emergency medical services, and provide first aid/CPR
- Support guests and staff during emergency situations and disturbances
- Complete thorough incident reports and maintain confidentiality of security documentation
- Manage interruptions and complaints professionally, ensuring safety hazards are resolved promptly
- Escort unwelcome individuals without disrupting operations
- Respond appropriately to vehicle accidents or thefts and call for outside assistance as required
- Prepare daily shift summaries and activity reports
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties regarding incidents
Additional Duties
- Adhere to all company policies, report issues such as accidents or unsafe conditions
- Complete required safety training and maintain professional personal appearance and uniform standards
- Welcome and assist guests respectfully, meeting company hospitality standards
- Communicate clearly and professionally in verbal and written formats
- Foster positive teamwork and support team objectives
- Comply with quality assurance standards
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted, and navigating various terrains and confined spaces
- Carry out other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior relevant experience or supervisory responsibilities required
- No specific licenses or certifications necessary
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The role requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or walking, as well as the ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The candidate should be comfortable operating in varied environments including narrow, elevated, or slippery settings, and must maintain a high level of alertness and professionalism at all times.
