Key Responsibilities

  • Manage freight profit and loss by analyzing market routes to determine the most lucrative Full Truck Load (FTL) and Less Than Truck Load (LTL) carrier networks.
  • Establish and maintain carrier relationships focusing on identifying routes less profitable to them but beneficial to Mansfield for increased freight earnings.
  • Create innovative approaches to capture a larger share of the freight market and enhance profitability.
  • Negotiate competitive freight rates that maximize Mansfield's financial advantage.
  • Coordinate logistics operations including scheduling and managing nationwide FTL and LTL pickups and deliveries from suppliers to customers.
  • Regularly monitor carrier performance and resolve issues promptly and constructively.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to control and minimize demurrage costs by eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Prepare comprehensive presentations, analytical reports, and official communications for management review.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent freight movements ensuring timely resolution of problems and task completion to optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Organize resources efficiently to ensure quick access to information as required.
  • Design and implement an invoice validation process ensuring accurate and cost-effective carrier billing.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory; majors or minors in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Energy are desirable.
  • Minimum of two years experience dispatching a large truck fleet.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Preferred experience in transportation analytics and relevant project participation.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and make financially impactful decisions in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills enabling effective interaction with all stakeholders.

Work Environment

  • The position offers a hybrid work model after training: three days onsite and two days remote.
  • Role involves prolonged sitting and requires dexterity for computer and device operation.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role in Colorado is $55,000 to $65,000 annually, plus eligibility for a $1,500 annual bonus.
