Position Overview
The Loan Officer Assistant supports Loan Officers in managing loan pipelines, engaging with borrowers, and coordinating operations to ensure a smooth lending process. This position primarily focuses on business purpose lending such as DSCR, RTL/Fix-and-Flip, and Non-QM loans, while also assisting with consumer mortgage loans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Loan Officers throughout the loan process from application to funding.
- Act as primary contact for borrowers, collecting necessary documents and providing consistent updates.
- Prepare, distribute, and track all required disclosures and redisclosures.
- Review loan files to confirm all information is complete and identify any outstanding conditions.
- Deliver appraisals and property valuations to borrowers as needed.
- Maintain accurate loan records using the Loan Origination System (LOS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Detect and escalate any issues that might delay the closing process.
- Enhance borrower experience through proactive and responsive communications.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the mortgage sector supporting Loan Officers, Processing, or Operations.
- Possession of or ability to obtain an NMLS license.
- Preferred experience with business purpose loans including DSCR, Non-QM, investor, or bank statement loans.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage origination and loan documentation processes.
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication competencies.
- Familiarity with mortgage technology platforms such as LOS, CRM, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong multitasking capability within a fast-paced context.
Additional Preferences
- Experience with LendingPad and/or Salesforce platforms.
- Coordination experience with title, appraisal, and closing partners.
- Background in pipeline management or sales support roles.
