Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Lifting Inspector will be entrusted with inspecting all types of lifting equipment such as cranes, hoists, and rigging devices to verify adherence to industry safety standards and regulations. Responsibilities include conducting both visual and non-destructive tests to detect defects or safety risks, reviewing and approving lifting plans to ensure they align with company and industry guidelines, and overseeing lifting operations with proper documentation and support to the team. Pre- and post-operation inspections, including load tests, are vital to guarantee safe equipment functioning. Maintaining detailed inspection reports and safety records is required, alongside reporting any identified hazards promptly to relevant parties. The role also involves keeping current with industry regulations and participating actively in safety meetings and training to cultivate a safety-conscious work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least five years of professional experience as a Lifting Inspector in the oil and gas sector
• Possession of LEEA certification or its equivalent
• In-depth understanding of lifting equipment, rigging processes, and safety protocols
• Knowledgeable about standards such as LOLER and API RP 2D
• Strong communication skills and teamwork capability
• High attention to detail and hazard identification proficiency
• Preparedness to work in offshore conditions for long durations
• Flexibility to operate on a 60/30 day rotational schedule, including weekends and holidays as necessary
