Key Responsibilities

• Oversee swim activities at the aquatic facilities, ensuring adherence to safety policies and guidelines.
• Alert swimmers to hazardous or improper behavior and enforce established pool rules and water safety regulations.
• Provide first aid during injuries, rescue swimmers at risk of drowning, and perform CPR or artificial respiration if required.
• Assess safety conditions and activate emergency protocols for aquatic incidents when necessary.
• Conduct inspections of pool areas, equipment, and water quality to maintain safety and usability.
• Assist in cleaning pool and related equipment, help with chlorine water testing, maintain water test records, log accidents, and add chemicals as instructed.
• Offer guidance or assist in swimming fundamentals classes when needed.
• Manage scheduling conflicts to maintain safety when aquatic facilities are shared by competing programs.
• Report incidents or accidents immediately to the Head Lifeguard or Director of Security.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to maintain productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in swimming 400 meters within 8 minutes.
• Capacity to work in hot outdoor conditions exceeding 45°C.
• Strong enthusiasm and excellent customer service aptitude.
• Enjoy interacting with people, demonstrating a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
• Superior communication and listening skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork capabilities.
