Role overview

Haven is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support its kitchen operation in New Quay, Wales. This role is suited to someone who enjoys busy, hands-on work and wants to contribute to a well-run kitchen while building experience and progressing within the team.

The position may be offered on a full-time, part-time, or seasonal basis. Pay can be as high as £12.71 per hour, depending on age.

What you’ll do

• Keep kitchen areas clean and organised by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, and by cleaning and sanitising surfaces, equipment, and floors in line with health and safety expectations.
• Support chefs with simple food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling basic dishes when required.
• Help the kitchen stay stocked and orderly by sorting ingredients, receiving deliveries, and storing items correctly.

What we’re looking for

• No previous experience is necessary, although experience in a kitchen, porter role, or catering setting would be beneficial.
• You should be comfortable with physically active work, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
• A cooperative attitude and clear communication skills are important for working well with the kitchen team.
• You need to be available for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
