Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Doha for a Junior Interior Designer. The person in this role will assist senior designers through the early and detailed stages of design for residential and commercial interiors. The job includes building concepts, preparing mood boards and presentation materials, supporting layout development, producing construction drawings, coordinating FF&E selections, and keeping design documentation current and accurate. The role also includes working with vendors and suppliers, helping source materials and furniture, contributing to project coordination from design through installation, attending site visits, and supporting quality checks to help maintain consistent standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers in shaping design concepts and presentation boards.
• Prepare mood boards, concept visuals, and detailed design presentations for interior projects.
• Support space planning and layout development for residential and commercial spaces.
• Produce and update construction drawings and related design documentation.
• Help coordinate FF&E selection, specification, and scheduling.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to support sourcing of materials, furniture, and finishes.
• Contribute to project coordination from concept stage through installation.
• Participate in site visits and assist with on-site quality reviews.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date project files and design records.
• Help uphold the studio’s design standards across multiple active projects.

Requirements

• Strong grounding in interior design and space planning, with the ability to turn ideas into practical layouts.
• Understanding of architecture fundamentals and construction drawings, with CAD or comparable software familiarity.
• Exposure to FF&E work, including selection, sourcing, specification, and schedule tracking, through study or experience.
• Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or similar platforms to support concept development and workflow.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar applications.
• Strong attention to detail, good organization, and the ability to handle several tasks within deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in contemporary and luxury design brands.
• Previous internship or junior-level experience in an interior design studio is considered an advantage.
