Role overview
This part-time remote Junior Data Analyst position supports data-informed decisions for training and behavioral nutrition initiatives. The role is designed for an entry-level professional who can assist with organizing information, identifying patterns, and turning data into practical insights.
What you will do
- Gather data from different sources and bring it into a usable format.
- Clean, sort, and maintain datasets so that the information remains accurate and consistent.
- Carry out basic statistical analysis to surface trends and useful observations.
- Build simple data models that support reporting and analysis needs.
- Prepare reports and dashboards that clearly communicate key findings.
- Work with teammates to interpret results and respond to data-related questions.
- Support ongoing improvements in educational and behavioral programs through analysis.
Qualifications
Applicants should be comfortable working with data in an entry-level setting and be willing to learn under the guidance of experienced data professionals.
- Strong ability to examine data, spot trends, and support decisions with evidence.
- Some exposure to data analytics through study, coursework, or early practical experience, including collection, cleaning, and basic visualization.
- Working knowledge of statistics for descriptive analysis and interpretation of results.
- Clear communication skills for presenting findings in simple language and collaborating with others.
- Basic understanding of data modeling concepts for structuring information and supporting analysis.
- Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, or beginner-friendly analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Enrollment in or completion of a program in data science, statistics, nutrition, behavioral science, or a related area is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup, manage time well, and handle several tasks with close attention to detail.
