IT Support Technician

About the Role

Harrow International School Dubai is looking to recruit a capable and proactive IT Support Technician to become a foundational member of their team. In this role, you will help foster a dynamic and inclusive environment prioritizing the personal and academic growth of each student. Responsibilities

• Coordinate user needs alongside service providers to ensure effective IT solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems and oversee software installations.
• Handle incoming help desk requests efficiently.
• Provide confident technical support and assistance to teachers and staff.
• Administer iOS devices and manage the iOS server infrastructure.
• Offer desktop support and troubleshooting services to all members of the school community.
• Maintain IT equipment, including laptop trollies, computer labs, and school facilities such as the auditorium and boardrooms.
• Oversee printer management, including reordering supplies as needed.
• Perform computer rebuilds when necessary.
• Manage setup and removal of IT equipment for assemblies, presentations, and training sessions.
• Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of two years in a similar IT support role.

Competencies:

• Comprehensive knowledge of IT operations within a school environment.
• Regularly stay informed on IT developments relevant to the role.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical staff.
• Ability to evaluate and maintain hardware stock ensuring optimal condition for strategic replacement planning.
