About the role
ANZ Investments is hiring an Investment Analyst with a focus on Responsible Investment. In this permanent, full-time Auckland-based role, you will support the integration of responsible investment principles across portfolios and investment partnerships. You will work with internal investment teams, external managers, and other stakeholders to produce insights, assist with stewardship work, and help drive sustainable investment outcomes that deliver lasting value for customers and communities.
Key duties
- Work with external investment managers and internal investment teams to evaluate and improve responsible investment practices across portfolios and asset classes.
- Review ESG and investment datasets, turn findings into useful insights, and help prepare reports for internal audiences and client-facing teams.
- Support stewardship initiatives, industry commitments, and the rollout of ANZ Investments' Responsible Investment programme.
- Partner with product, risk, and investment functions to improve responsible investment disclosures, communications, and customer outcomes.
What you will bring
The ideal candidate will have experience in responsible investment, investment research, portfolio analysis, or manager selection and monitoring. You should be comfortable working with data, spotting patterns, and explaining what the findings mean in practical terms. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, along with the ability to build trust and influence a variety of stakeholders. You should also bring a collaborative approach to relationship management, curiosity, initiative, and a strong willingness to keep learning.
An interest in investing, responsible investing, sustainability themes, and the growing influence of ESG considerations in investment decisions is also highly valued.
