Role Overview
The Inventory Associate will manage daily inbound and inventory processes on the ground, overseeing teams of supervisors and pickers. The role involves enforcing strict standard operating procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and health, ensuring seamless stock movement from the receiving dock to storage bins.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage floor operations, including manpower planning, task allocation, and productivity tracking for inbound and inventory teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, identify procedural gaps, and implement corrective measures.
- Supervise inventory tasks such as batch consolidation, zonal stock transfers, cycle counts including planning and variance resolution, FEFO-based stock handling, and expiry management.
- Oversee stock merchandising in picking locations and manage return-to-vendor processes.
- Manage inbound operations covering receipt of supplier purchase orders with quantity, quality, batch, and expiry verification.
- Supervise transfer order receipt and accurate putaway into designated bins.
- Verify and reconcile supplier invoices against received goods.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or dark-store operations, primarily in inbound and inventory roles.
- Proficient with warehouse management systems, cycle counting methods, and FEFO stock rotation techniques.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on enforcing SOP compliance and problem-solving in dynamic environments.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy.
- Willingness and flexibility to work shifts according to operational requirements.
