Inventory Analyst

Overview

The role of an Inventory Analyst involves managing and accelerating the movement of work and materials across departments in alignment with production schedules. This position requires reviewing and disseminating schedules related to production, labor, and shipments, alongside compiling detailed inventory reports including cost and stock levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect various documentation, raw materials, and finished goods to verify completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards and specifications.
• Analyze production schedules, work orders, and staffing data to assess material and personnel needs and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Document production metrics including quantities produced, raw material consumption, and quality control outcomes.
• Request and sustain inventory levels of materials and supplies to meet production requirements.
• Investigate and resolve inventory issues such as discrepancies, excesses and shortages, supplier variances, returns from operations, receipt mismatches, and shipping mistakes.
• Conduct both random and regular audits of inventory and shipment receipts as instructed.
• Communicate adjustments and discrepancies to the Supply Chain Management team and support root cause analysis and corrective action documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required; preference given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree coupled with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• 2-4 years in similar inventory or production roles mandatory.
• Competence with software tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to shipping and manufacturing processes.
• Strong ability to conduct cost analysis related to labor, materials, and production.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a pay range of $25 to $27 per hour with eligibility for overtime compensation at 1.5 times the hourly wage beyond 40 hours per week.
