Role Overview
Under supervision, the HSE Inspector will perform routine tasks to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health regulations. The role involves assisting in the development and upkeep of health and safety programs, monitoring workplace hazards, investigating incidents, and supporting training and emergency preparedness initiatives to uphold the quality of safety measures.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine environmental, health, and safety duties ensuring adherence to ES&H standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the creation, implementation, and maintenance of safety and health systems and processes.
- Identify and monitor workplace hazards and potential diseases.
- Collaborate on investigating accidents, injuries, and hazard complaints at the worksite.
- Contribute to recommendations for improving procedures, processes, design, and equipment to reduce risk.
- Participate in employee safety training, emergency preparedness exercises, and ensure program quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of HSE experience in major infrastructure construction projects.
- Proven expertise in tunneling techniques such as TBM, NATM, Cut & Cover, or comparable methods.
- Experience with Viaduct and Elevated Structure Construction.
- Prior involvement in High-Speed Rail, Railway, Metro, or Rail Infrastructure projects is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment practices, and permit-to-work systems.
- Proficiency in conducting incident investigations and hazard identification.
Additional Certifications
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
- IOSH Managing Safely or Working Safely certification.
- OSHA Safety Certification.
- First Aid and Fire Warden certifications are advantageous.
