About the role
Uno Minda is seeking an analytical and self-motivated intern to join its Human Resources team in a data science and AI-focused role. This internship is centered on using analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to solve practical HR challenges, strengthen decision-making, and improve processes across hiring, onboarding, learning and development, employee experience, and related HR functions.
Role overview
The intern will work from the corporate office in Manesar and contribute to projects that turn HR data into actionable insights, automate repetitive tasks, and support digital transformation within HR. The role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to people analytics, AI-enabled HR tools, dashboards, predictive modeling, and enterprise HR systems.
Key responsibilities
- Examine HR datasets to uncover hiring patterns, attrition trends, workforce indicators, and employee engagement insights.
- Create reports and interactive visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Develop predictive models to support recruitment, retention, and workforce planning activities.
- Help automate HR workflows with AI-based and process automation tools.
- Design AI-enabled solutions such as resume screening, candidate matching, and HR chatbots.
- Clean, verify, and transform data so that analysis is built on accurate and consistent datasets.
- Partner with HR stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into analytical outputs.
- Prepare recommendations and insights that can improve hiring outcomes and employee experience.
- Contribute to HR technology initiatives and broader digital transformation projects.
- Record methods, dashboards, and final project results clearly for future reference.
Skills and knowledge required
Technical capability in Python or R, SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is important. A basic understanding of machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization is also expected. Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot is preferred, along with awareness of HR areas like recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, HR operations, or performance management.
Learning outcomes
During the internship, the selected candidate will gain practical exposure to HR analytics and people analytics, AI-driven HR automation, dashboard creation, machine learning applications in HR, and work with enterprise HR technology projects. The internship also offers exposure to talent acquisition and HR strategy initiatives.
Eligibility
Applicants should be pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Business Analytics, HR Analytics, or a related discipline. Candidates from any B.Tech / B.E. specialization may apply.
Additional information
This internship is in the Human Resources department at the corporate office in Manesar and runs for 36 months. The stipend is provided as per company policy. The role is intended for candidates who are curious, detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn emerging AI technologies.
