About Himachal Pradesh High Court
The High Court of Himachal Pradesh, headquartered in Shimla, serves as the apex judicial body overseeing district judiciary operations throughout the state. Eligibility and Age Criteria
- Court Manager: Age 25-35 years
- General and EWS candidates: 18-45 years
- Reserved category and HP government employees: 18-50 years
- Age calculations are based on January 1, 2026
Relaxations include a 5-year extension for SC/ST/OBC candidates and similarly for persons with benchmark disabilities.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Court Manager: Graduation and MBA from a recognized university with 3 years relevant experience; knowledge of legal affairs and computers preferred.
- Clerk: Graduation with basic computer skills; must pass typing test.
- Stenographer Grade-III: Graduation plus stenography skills with English shorthand at 80 WPM, English typing at 40 WPM, and Hindi typing at 30 WPM.
- Driver: Matriculation, valid LMV license for 3 years, and 3 years LMV driving experience.
- Process Server and Group-D (Peon, Chowkidar, Safai Karamchari): Minimum 10+2 pass with compliance to recruitment rules.
Salary Structure
- Court Manager: Rs. 48,700 to Rs. 1,54,300
- Clerk: Rs. 20,200 to Rs. 64,000
- Stenographer Grade-III: Rs. 25,600 to Rs. 81,200
- Driver: Rs. 21,300 to Rs. 67,800
- Process Server and Group-D: Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900
Application and Selection Process
