Job Overview

This role entails ensuring a clean and safe environment conducive to patient care in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out targeted cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain facility cleanliness and sanitation.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and germicides to disinfect rooms, furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Execute additional housekeeping activities such as furniture moving, mattress turning, cleaning kitchens and utensils, and floor maintenance including sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing.
• Handle laundering of soiled linens as directed.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are sufficiently stocked for departmental use.
• Clean and store all cleaning equipment and materials properly after each shift.
• Set up rooms for meetings, arranging furniture and decorations for facility events.
• Replenish supplies as necessary throughout the facility.
• Adhere rigorously to infection control protocols.

Other Duties

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in housekeeping within commercial, clinical, or healthcare environments is advantageous.
• A valid state driver's license may be required depending on the facility location.
• Certification in CPR, de-escalation techniques, and restraints is mandatory; training for these certifications is provided upon hire.
• First aid certification may be required based on state or institutional standards.
