Hotel Security Guard - 3rd Shift in Hebron, KY

Overview

NSG, Inc. is looking for committed and alert Security Officers to cover the 3rd shift at a hotel located in Hebron, KY. The role involves maintaining a secure and safe setting for our clients throughout the night.

Note: Candidates must have their own transportation as the site is not accessible by public bus routes.

Schedule & Compensation

• Workdays: Sunday through Thursday
• Shift hours: 10 PM to 6 AM (40 hours weekly)
• Hourly wage: $17.00
• Payments are made weekly on Fridays

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly patrol both interior and exterior areas of the facility
• Monitor entry and exit points and inspect visitors and premises
• Deliver amenities such as towels and toiletries to hotel guests
• Contact emergency services when needed and promptly inform NSG management and property owners
• Manage conflict by de-escalation using verbal techniques to resolve tense situations calmly
• Remain alert to signs of tension and assert authority to deter potential problems
• Secure the property after business hours by checking all access points
• Report suspicious behavior to leadership and follow instructions accordingly
• Escort unauthorized persons off the premises
• Provide a visible presence to prevent threats
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must be eligible to obtain a security license from the state of Ohio
• Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check
• Excellent observational skills with great attention to detail
• Clear and commanding verbal communication abilities
• Capacity to stay composed during stressful events
• Ability to memorize property layout
• Skilled in using radios or telephones efficiently
• Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to work the assigned night shift
