Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

Position Summary

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor oversees the post-cleaning inspection of guest rooms, public spaces, and pool areas to guarantee compliance with quality standards. They manage room status reports, identify rooms requiring attention, prioritize cleaning tasks, and update room statuses accordingly. This role supports Housekeeping management by assisting with daily operational activities and acts as a bridge between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments. The supervisor documents and resolves room discrepancies with the Front Desk, manages room assignment communications, and briefs incoming shifts. Essential paperwork completion is also a responsibility.

Key Duties

• Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and staff coaching.
• Uphold company policies including safety and security protocols, report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and incidents, and complete necessary safety certifications.
• Ensure personal and team professional appearance and uphold confidentiality and company asset protection.
• Greet guests warmly according to company standards, anticipate guest needs, provide support to guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Maintain clear and professional communication, foster positive working relationships, listen to colleagues’ concerns, and address them appropriately.
• Comply with quality expectations and standards consistently.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting objects up to 55 pounds alone and heavier items with assistance, maneuvering housekeeping equipment over various terrains, and maintaining physical activity throughout shifts including bending, stooping, and walking.
• Utilize computers and point of sale systems for work-related information management.
• Execute additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: At least three years in a related role with supervisory responsibilities.
• No licensing or certification requirements.
