Job description

Role Overview

This role requires working collaboratively within a team aiming to meet operational goals that emphasize high-quality standards to reduce product rework and reject rates. The position involves actively participating in ongoing improvement efforts across processes and within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carefully handle products to preserve quality and minimize damage or waste.
  • Produce and/or pack diverse products while adhering to agreed standards for efficiency.
  • Ensure products comply with customer specifications.
  • Work alongside the team to optimize packing procedures for maximum efficiency.
  • Correctly segregate wet waste and class 2 waste materials.
  • Set up machinery properly before operations.
  • Operate farm equipment including tractors and sprayers.
  • Support smooth and efficient changeovers in production with team collaboration.
  • Verify that finished goods are correctly sealed and appropriately labeled.
  • Maintain close supervision on product quality, escalating issues to the Team Leader promptly.
  • Provide support to the team whenever necessary.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Valid driving licence with recent tractor driving experience is essential.
  • Previous experience in horticulture farming, including crop spraying, is required.
  • Capability to work effectively under pressure during busy times.
  • Flexibility to accommodate the operational requirements of the business.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail is crucial.
  • Reliability and punctuality are important attributes.
  • Horticulture-related qualifications are considered advantageous.

Additional Details

The standard working hours are at least 39 hours per week.

This position is full-time and permanent, based in Dublin, Ireland.

The annual salary for this role is €32,691.
