About the Role

Due to ongoing expansion, RTU is seeking a committed HGV Driver for a permanent, full-time position based at our Newtownabbey headquarters. The primary responsibility involves timely and safe delivery of pre-mix concrete and mortar to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver products according to dispatch schedule.
Complete all relevant delivery documentation upon delivery.
Conduct daily vehicle walk-round inspections before driving and document findings.
Maintain cleanliness of both the cab and the mixer vehicle.
Adhere to tachograph regulations during driving.
Manage and reconcile consumable stock such as mortar bags and covers.
Report all spillages and accidents as necessary.
Collect and securely handle cash payments at delivery.
Comply with health and safety protocols.
Perform site opening and locking duties when required for early deliveries.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence.
Completed Driver CPC training.
Sound knowledge of Northern Ireland roadways, especially Belfast.
Strong organizational abilities and capacity to work independently.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Customer-oriented approach focused on excellent service.

Preferred Experience

Experience in the concrete or construction sectors is advantageous.
Experience operating a truck mixer is beneficial.
