Position Overview

The Head of Pricing & Market Operations is a seasoned expert with extensive experience in maximizing revenue through effective pricing strategies and market operations. This leadership role involves managing teams and executing initiatives that optimize revenue streams via pricing, segment distribution, and inventory oversight across all Miral assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and align pricing strategies to exceed targets related to revenue, per capita spending, and attendance figures.
  • Offer strategic insights to prioritize revenue management actions.
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Trade leadership to support planning, risk evaluation, and decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate collaboration among Revenue Management, Marketing, Finance, and IT departments to ensure data integrity and accountability.
  • Recommend pricing rates and objectives for annual budgeting cycles.
  • Establish segment, channel, and product pricing targets and initiatives.
  • Identify revenue gaps and propose actionable opportunities for individual assets, guiding activity planning accordingly.
  • Steer strategies to increase profitable visitor numbers and analyze the effects of admissions pricing on promotions and consumer behavior.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for commercial teams to enhance yield and volume.
  • Work with Performance Management to set targets and track business results.
  • Act as subject matter expert for revenue optimization configuration including dynamic pricing, distribution strategies, inventory controls, and overbooking standards tailored for seasonal demand variations.
  • Continuously update standard operating procedures and quality controls related to revenue management to maintain compliance and consistency.
  • Create internal briefs on revenue campaigns and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee 12-month tactical revenue plans integrating pricing, inventory, and multichannel sales in a cohesive framework.
  • Promote proactive pricing decisions through enhanced market knowledge and forecasting.
  • Implement revenue optimization policies to meet visitation and revenue targets.
  • Lead performance reviews of theme parks and act on underperforming markets to enhance results.
  • Produce pricing KPIs, conduct gap analyses, and suggest improvements.
  • Execute advanced scenario modeling to support strategic pricing decisions.
  • Manage and mentor revenue optimization teams, fostering technical and behavioral skill development, and oversee performance reviews.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure revenue tactics align with overall business goals.
  • Monitor macroeconomic factors and industry trends to refine revenue strategies and engage with tour operators for strategic initiatives.
  • Drive data-based market insights through research, competitor benchmarking, and stakeholder interviews.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Tourism, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Five or more years of experience in revenue management or commercial roles within global organizations, ideally with complex revenue frameworks.
  • Strong commercial understanding of drivers influencing theme parks, airlines, or similar sectors.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into tactical execution and operate under pressure with strong prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Excellent skills in creating presentations and reports using PowerPoint, data visualization tools, and Excel.
  • Advanced data analysis capabilities including proficiency with Excel/VB Script and Power BI are advantageous.
  • Minimum three years in leadership roles involving stakeholder engagement and alignment.
  • Experience managing budgets, evaluating investments, coaching teams, and setting objectives.
  • Expertise in strategic frameworks, destination development, financial management, and delivering presentations to executive and board levels.

Additional Information

This role includes operational leadership of a diverse team responsible for pricing and inventory management, with responsibilities for mentoring, performance assessment, and succession planning. The role requires collaboration across multiple departments and the ability to lead data-driven decision-making in a complex, multi-priority environment.
