Role Overview
The company is actively seeking a seasoned senior leader to head their Asia Pacific Institutional division. This position, based in Singapore, Hong Kong, or Tokyo, involves crafting and executing growth strategies, fostering leadership talents, and overseeing operations in vital APAC markets including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Japan, and Australia-New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the strategic direction for APAC Institutional to enhance market presence, establishing priorities across geographical locations, client sectors, and product lines.
- Collaborate with Institutional Country heads to strengthen strategic partnerships with pivotal institutional clients, facilitating complex mandate negotiations and long-term relationships.
- Lead and mentor a dynamic regional team, cultivating skill development and encouraging a culture grounded in accountability and collaboration.
- Build consensus among cross-functional teams without direct reporting lines, aligning regional and global stakeholders to meet client objectives and maintain consistent service standards.
- Manage business outcomes, which includes setting sales goals, overseeing pipeline management, planning workforce needs, and partnering with finance for budgeting and forecasting aimed at achieving sustainable growth.
- Coordinate with Investment Platform teams to develop unique client solutions, leveraging market insights and client feedback to inform product innovation.
- Boost the firm's institutional brand by spearheading leadership appearances and delivering client-centered, differentiated content.
- Contribute to the broader regional APAC business strategies and plans.
- Represent Wellington Management at major industry forums and client gatherings.

- Strong knowledge of investments with the capability to convey market trends and manage cross-asset portfolios targeted at institutional clients.
