Overview
The Group Performance Director leads the strategic oversight and enhancement of operational and financial performance across the Group's Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) vertical. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Director monitors key performance indicators, conducts thorough financial and operational analyses, and ensures service quality compliance. This role demands a CFO-level expertise in financial management combined with profound telecom industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies aimed at increasing shareholder value by translating service and network performance into revenue and profit growth.
- Define and monitor KPIs such as network availability, quality of service (QoS), customer experience (QoE), and churn rates to meet established quality standards and SLAs.
- Analyze network, service, financial, and commercial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across all business units.
- Manage network capacity planning and demand forecasting to ensure optimal performance during peak periods; proactively address capacity risks in collaboration with network operations.
- Prepare comprehensive performance reports covering network operation, service delivery, financial outcomes, and commercial metrics for senior management and Board review.
- Drive digital performance transformation by refining operational processes, network methodologies, OSS/BSS tools, and cost optimization efforts Group-wide.
- Coordinate with diverse internal departments and external partners to align on performance objectives and swiftly resolve service issues.
- Oversee budgeting of performance initiatives with stringent financial discipline to optimize resources and cost efficiency.
- Analyze competitors, market trends, and customer behavior to identify business risks and opportunities ensuring continuity.
- Collaborate closely with finance teams on financial modeling, budgeting, and risk management pertaining to group performance.
Required Experience and Expertise
- Extensive experience as a CFO or senior finance executive demonstrating mastery in financial modeling, budgeting, IFRS reporting, and risk management.
- At least 15 years in telecom operations within mobile or fixed networks focusing on performance management, network and service quality, and finance.
- Fluency in Russian and English to effectively engage in CIS and Central Asian markets.
- Over 10 years of leadership experience managing performance, finance, or business excellence functions across multiple business entities or groups.
- Proven ability to establish, cascade, and monitor KPIs and SLAs across diverse units; experience in emerging digital markets like Kazakhstan or Central Asia is advantageous.
- Prior exposure to complex Holding company structures overseeing various business verticals is preferred.
- Professional financial certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA) considered a plus.
Education
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or related fields.
Languages
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Fluent in Russian (mandatory).
