Position Overview

They are expanding their team with multiple Graduate Site Engineer positions, offering opportunities to gain hands-on site experience across various projects such as data centres, substations, large-scale industrial developments, and electrical infrastructure.

Role Details

This opportunity is targeted at students currently studying Civil Engineering, Building Services, or Project Management who will graduate in Winter 2023 or Summer 2024. The role primarily involves site-based work that provides comprehensive exposure to civil construction management, encompassing project management, engineering, health and safety, environmental, quality control, and commercial aspects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform site setting out using equipment including Dumpy levels, Laser levels, Total Stations, and GPS instruments.
  • Identify and raise technical queries and assist with resolving technical issues.
  • Ensure usage of the most current drawings and documentation on-site.
  • Provide clear and precise information to site personnel for task execution.
  • Conduct inspections per the Inspection and Test Plan requirements.
  • Complete quality assurance checklists, pre-pour inspections, and document quality benchmarks for completed works.
  • Maintain accurate Quality Management System records.
  • Create as-built surveying records and generate red-lined as-built drawings.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards as outlined in the Project Safety Plan.
  • Maintain a detailed daily site diary recording completed tasks, materials and plant usage, and photographic evidence.
  • Notify senior management of any non-conformances or substandard workmanship.
  • Confirm proper materials are applied correctly during construction phases.
  • Support site management with material quantity estimation and usage tracking.
  • Assist the Commercial team with site measurement data for monthly valuations.

Candidate Profile

  • Displays a proactive and positive attitude with eagerness to learn.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Competent in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Autodesk software is required.
  • Possession of a driving license is advantageous.
  • Previous construction experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Setting out experience is considered beneficial.

Additional Information
