Global Supply Chain Manager

Role overview

This is a fully remote contract assignment for a Global Supply Chain Manager. The engagement is planned for 6+ months. The role begins with a 40-hour workweek and may transition to part-time later, depending on how the projects evolve.

What you will do

• Guide project teams and smaller workstreams in building and rolling out new programs as well as process enhancements.
• Run projects using established program and project management methods.
• Keep several initiatives moving so they stay aligned with deadlines and deliver the expected outcomes.
• Track schedules, progress, and costs across projects or programs to make sure deliverables arrive on time and within budget.
• Update and adjust project plans whenever the work requires changes.
• Support the team by acting as a project manager who can help coordinate and facilitate execution.

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Smartsheet as the primary platform
• Other project management tools

Required background

• Solid understanding of project management practices
• Proven experience taking projects from launch through completion
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience handling large cross-functional work, with international projects being an advantage
• Ability to adapt quickly and change direction when needed
• Background in supply chain
• PMP certification is strongly preferred

Experience expectations

The role calls for 5 to 7 years of experience overall. In particular, candidates should have at least 4 years in cross-functional project management and project completion, 3+ years working effectively with large teams, and 3+ years of basic supply chain knowledge.
