Position Overview
Oaks Queenstown Club Suites seeks a seasoned General Manager to spearhead the reopening of its flagship property following a substantial renovation. This role involves overseeing every facet of the relaunch, ensuring the property re-establishes its market position, fostering a high-achievement work environment, and delivering superlative guest experiences from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the seamless reopening and ongoing operations, maintaining superior presentation, service quality, and financial results.
- Direct daily functions across departments ensuring operational excellence.
- Formulate and execute strategic revenue and growth plans.
- Lead, mentor, and manage heads of Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Front Office departments.
- Cultivate partnerships with stakeholders including Body Corporate, Strata Managers, and local businesses.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, licensing, and caretaking regulations.
- Identify operational enhancement opportunities and implement strategic improvements.
- Motivate and manage staff to uphold a culture of high performance and engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven leadership experience as a General Manager or senior operations executive within hotels, resorts, or serviced apartments.
- Prior success managing hotel openings, major refurbishments, or transformative projects highly desirable.
- Understanding of Body Corporate and strata management requirements is advantageous.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hospitality or Business Management.
- Strong commercial and financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
- Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder relationship management.
- Committed guest-centric approach with high energy, professionalism, and leadership passion.
