Role overview
This project-based opportunity connects subject matter specialists with AI work for leading technology companies. The focus is on evaluating, testing, and improving AI systems rather than taking on a permanent role. As a Junior Journalist AI Trainer, you will help shape how models interpret and produce natural, human-like writing by contributing text that strengthens reasoning, precision, nuance, and clarity.
What you'll do
- Create original, accurate, and clearly written responses that follow the project brief.
- Design prompts that push AI outputs and reasoning.
- Build detailed scoring guidelines to assess answer quality and correctness.
- Maintain consistent tone, structure, and quality according to the required standards.
What we're looking for
This role suits people who are open to part-time, non-permanent project work. The ideal contributor brings a strong academic background, professional writing experience, and excellent English proficiency.
- A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Linguistics, Literature, or Education.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in Journalism, Communications, PR, or a related text-heavy field.
- Strong critical-thinking skills and confidence working with English-language content.
- English proficiency at C1/C2 level.
- A stable internet connection.
How the process works
The workflow is straightforward: submit your application, complete the qualification step(s), join an assigned project, finish the tasks, and receive payment.
Time commitment
During active phases, the expected workload is around 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and may vary depending on project needs.
Compensation
Contributors may earn up to the equivalent of $30 per hour, with actual earnings depending on experience, contribution speed, and the specifics of the project. Pay levels can differ from one project to another based on scope and complexity.
