Floor Technician

Role Overview

Velociti Services is hiring a full-time Floor Technician in Tucson, AZ. The work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 1:30 am. In this role, you will handle complete floor upkeep for hard surfaces and carpeted areas across offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and shared spaces such as break rooms.

What You'll Do

• Carry out floor maintenance tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting.
• Keep hard floors, stairwells, carpets, upholstery, walls, restrooms, offices, and break rooms clean and presentable.
• Prepare work areas safely before starting by securing the space and placing required safety notices.
• Inspect equipment before use and complete routine maintenance on floor-care tools.
• Work together with teammates, support the shift lead, and step in when staffing is short.
• Maintain a clean workspace and follow company procedures, rules, and safety standards.
• Communicate respectfully with supervisors, coworkers, managers, customers, and other departments.
• Use personal protective equipment correctly and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Participate in meetings, follow direction from leadership, and help complete punch-list items.

Candidate Profile

• Applicants should have a high school diploma or an equivalent credential.
• At least 1 year of floor-care experience is required.
• You should be able to strip, wax, and burnish floors with little to no assistance.
• Experience using equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers is expected.
• Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility environment is a plus.
• The role calls for strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to perform under deadlines and pressure.

Physical Requirements

This position involves standing, walking, sitting, reaching overhead, gripping, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and repetitive motion. You must be able to push and pull at least 30 pounds, lift 10 to 50 pounds, and frequently handle loads in the 0 to 10 pound range.
