Floor Care Technician

Role overview

We are seeking a Floor Care Technician to help keep a care facility clean, safe, and visually well-maintained. In this role, you will focus on the upkeep of flooring across different areas while supporting a positive environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

What you will do

• Clean floors regularly and carry out buffing and refinishing work as needed.
• Use floor care machines and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Keep accurate records of completed tasks and maintenance-related activities.
• Report any safety concerns, repair needs, or other maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with residents, staff, and guests.

Qualifications and working expectations

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with prior experience in floor care if available. The position requires clear communication, the ability to follow directions carefully, and comfort working around cleaning chemicals and products. Physical requirements include lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, and completing repetitive tasks.

Additional conditions
