About the Role

Arabian Fiber Optic Cable Manufacturing LLC is urgently seeking a qualified and experienced Fitter to join their Maintenance Department at the Umm Al Quwain facility in the United Arab Emirates. This is a full-time, onsite position focused on sustaining and repairing production machinery within a manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance and handle breakdown repairs on production machinery to ensure minimal downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and restore equipment functionality efficiently.
• Install, assemble, disassemble, and maintain a range of mechanical systems and components.
• Replace worn mechanical elements such as bearings, shafts, gears, belts, chains, and couplings.
• Collaborate closely with Production and Maintenance teams to maintain smooth operational workflow across the plant.
• Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and uphold 5S workplace organization standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess an ITI certificate or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter Trade, or an equivalent qualification.
• Have 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working as a Fitter within a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Be capable of interpreting mechanical drawings and proficiently using maintenance tools.
• Exhibit strong skills in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical problems.
• Experience in cable manufacturing or continuous processing industries is an added advantage.
