Role overview

This full-time, on-site position in Abu Dhabi Emirate is focused on building accurate cost estimates for interior design and fit-out works. The Estimator will assess materials, labor, subcontractor pricing, and project durations to prepare detailed budgets. The job requires reviewing drawings and specifications, carrying out quantity take-offs, and working closely with project managers, designers, suppliers, and contractors to produce reliable pricing. The role also involves evaluating bids, maintaining cost records, monitoring project expenditure, and preparing reports that support informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop thorough cost estimates for interior design and fit-out projects, covering materials, labor, subcontractor input, and project timelines.
• Examine technical drawings, specifications, and related project documentation to build accurate pricing assumptions.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare budget calculations for tendering and project planning.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, suppliers, and contractors to validate scope and pricing details.
• Review bids and tenders, support negotiations, and help align submissions with quality and deadline requirements.
• Update cost databases and maintain current pricing information for materials, finishes, and fit-out activities.
• Track project costs and contribute reports that assist management in decision-making.
• Attend site visits and project meetings as needed to better understand project requirements and execution constraints.

Requirements

• Hands-on capability in estimation, quantity surveying, and budget preparation for fit-out or interior design projects.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical project documents.
• Experience using estimating tools, project management software, Microsoft Excel, and similar digital applications.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, finishes, fit-out methods, and UAE market pricing.
• Good communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical ability and the capacity to manage several tenders and deadlines at once.
• Prior UAE experience in fit-out, interior contracting, or construction estimation is mandatory.
• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Commitment to ethical work practices, safety awareness, and ongoing process improvement.
