Finance Manager

Overview

The Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining the organization's financial well-being to foster success and expansion, while ensuring adherence to legal and financial standards. This role encompasses financial planning, reviewing financial documentation to ensure tax compliance, and collaborating across departments to achieve fiscal objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily finance department functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing.
• Establish and implement financial policies and protocols.
• Work closely with department leaders to optimize the allocation of resources.
• Assess financial risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Manage cash flow and petty cash to maintain liquidity for smooth operations.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Analyze financial documents and operational data to detect trends, discrepancies, opportunities, and areas needing improvement.
• Provide informed insights and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, and operations departments to comprehend financial requirements and provide support.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of rental and miscellaneous receipts alongside proper cash handling and banking procedures.
• Deliver professional financial services to clients and external vendors regarding financial matters and regulations.
• Develop financial models and scenarios to assist strategic planning and evaluate company performance.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting aligned with business goals.
• Manage quarterly VAT return filings, refunds, and reconciliations in compliance with Federal Tax Authority regulations.
• Monitor budget against actual financial performance and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements including KYC, UAE labor laws, and federal regulations.
• Oversee and coordinate audits and financial reviews, supporting external and internal preparations with accurate ledger and journal maintenance.
• Produce comprehensive financial reports as required.
• Manage relationships with banking partners and oversee financial instruments such as loans, credit facilities, and letters of guarantee.
• Oversee all banking operations to maintain smooth financial processes.
• Possess prior experience or understanding of trading company operations and financial needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA is desirable.
• At least eight years’ experience as a Finance Manager or equivalent role with expertise in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the healthcare industry in UAE.
