Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable financial and accounting specialist to join our Financial Management team. This critical position involves serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), offering expertise and support for finance-related projects while assisting the regional finance team with reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups including Finance Projects, Front Office, Operations, and IT to ensure alignment of finance projects with broader strategic goals.
- Support the execution of key initiatives such as Core Banking System upgrades, General Ledger enhancements, and finance process automation to boost operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation encompassing business requirements, UAT scenarios, workflows, and timelines throughout project phases.
- Identify and evaluate risks associated with projects, formulating strategies to mitigate these and safeguard project continuity.
- Assist the Regional Finance Management team with financial, regulatory, and statutory reporting duties, including addressing auditors' inquiries.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of four years' experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis with a solid foundation in financial systems and project implementation.
- Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities to effectively address project challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, in particular MS Excel.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, and AI technologies is advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a closely related discipline.
