Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) with at least twelve years of hands-on expertise in RF communications and communications networks, supporting Department of Defense (DoD) C4ISR and C5ISR systems. This role involves Life Cycle Sustainment and Maintenance (LCSM) support, training, and technical proficiency related to VSAT satellite systems, Cisco networks, and deployable communication environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide LCSM support and training for Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT) and related equipment at customer locations.
- Conduct Tier III repair, installation, integration, testing, and lifecycle sustainment activities on DoD C4ISR systems.
- Deliver operational, maintenance, and troubleshooting training to personnel within the organization.
- Perform bench testing, validate maintenance, support equipment upgrades, and provide on-the-job training (OJT).
- Manage work orders, oversee equipment logistics for both continental US (CONUS) and outside continental US (OCONUS), and administer logistical database software.
- Act as a technical liaison among users, departments, and vendors to maintain continuous service availability and assure system performance.
- Support research, development, and enhancement of deployable communication systems.
- Prepare and submit regular technical and operational reports to leadership.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum of twelve years' experience working with Joint Warfighter C4ISR systems, including expertise in at least four of the following areas: System requirements, operational requirements, testing and evaluation, training, and leadership or SME roles in C5ISR systems development, testing, logistics, or sustainment.
- Strong skills configuring and managing Cisco routers and switches, VSAT/iDirect systems, HAIPE encryption devices, BGAN/INMARSAT networks, and LAN/WAN architectures.
- Proven experience in installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and lifecycle management of DoD telecommunications systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of Joint Warfighter C4ISR networks with demonstrated capability in troubleshooting, Tier III support, and lifecycle training.
- Excellent communication skills and self-driven with the ability to independently execute mission-critical tasks.
- Educational background: Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent with four additional years of experience.
- At least twelve years professional experience in design, testing, integration, manufacturing supervision of electrical/electronic equipment including systems analysis, support, test and evaluation, and logistics of C4ISR or related systems.
- Technical experience: minimum three years in SATCOM or SATCOM network support.
- Active Secret Security Clearance with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret/SCI.
- Successful completion of Technical Training in DoD C4ISR systems, Satellite Communications, or Networking Equipment, with ability to pass Basic Instructor Course (BIC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570-compliant certification.
- Past leadership experience in deployment or sustainment of Joint Warfighter C5ISR systems.

Salary Range
