Executive - Post-burial & Cremation Operations Section

Role Overview

This position is situated within the Memorial Services and Operations Division under the Public Health Services and Capabilities Group. The incumbent will support after-death care services at government cemetery and crematorium offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise exhumation activities conducted by private and government contractors ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Conduct preparatory tasks such as ground surveys, document verification, plotting layouts, and validating burial records before exhumations physically take place.
• Perform site inspections across Choa Chu Kang Cemetery and other closed cemetery and columbarium locations.
• Assist with operational duties during Qing Ming, the 7th month and other festival periods within the CCK Cemetery complex.
• Handle public feedback and enquiries, manage customer interactions, and offer recommendations on complex cases.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses strong administrative capabilities and effective communication, alongside maturity, accountability, independence and resourcefulness.
• Physically fit to conduct fieldwork regularly while enduring diverse weather conditions.
• Available to work beyond standard office hours including nights, weekends, public holidays and in environments related to post-death care.
• Self-motivated and independent with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Holds a valid Class 3 driving license to operate departmental vehicles for site inspections at multiple cemetery locations.
