About the Role
A well-established European quantitative investment firm is expanding its Singapore team by hiring an Execution Trader/Execution Researcher. This position involves working directly within a systematic trading environment where collaboration with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and technology professionals is key to enhancing the trading process.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and continuously improve systematic trading strategies across various global financial markets.
- Perform quantitative investigations into market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, order flow patterns, and execution quality measurements.
- Evaluate transaction costs, market impact, and slippage using rigorous analysis aimed at boosting execution efficiency.
- Create and refine quantitative models and develop analytics along with execution tools to improve trading outcomes.
- Explore and test execution signals and algorithms to advance the systematic trading approaches.
- Work closely with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and technology teams to deploy research findings into active trading and enhance execution processes.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience working in proprietary trading firms, systematic hedge funds, quant investment management, electronic market making, or institutional electronic trading settings.
- Expertise in execution trading, quantitative trading strategies, execution research, or related systematic electronic trading disciplines.
- Deep knowledge of market microstructure, liquidity, order flow, execution algorithms, transaction cost analysis (TCA), market impact, and execution optimization methodologies.
- Advanced programming competence in Python; familiarity with C++, SQL, or kdb+/q is considered a plus.
- Excellent analytical abilities combined with strong quantitative and problem-solving skills while maintaining a team-oriented approach.
- Preferably holds an advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable quantitative field.
