Role Overview

As an Evening Cleaner Supervisor, you will oversee cleaning staff and ensure thorough cleaning of all office areas including washrooms, kitchenettes, cafeterias, cubicles, meeting rooms, and offices. Your responsibilities include managing inventory, ensuring task completion from client tickets, assisting with cleaning duties when needed, and training team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control budgeted hours for the designated location.
• Assign daily cleaning tasks to employees and supervise their work quality.
• Conduct continuous inspections to maintain performance standards.
• Assist in site training for new cleaning personnel.
• Implement and train staff on Health & Safety policies, ensuring proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping records for cleaning staff.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Oversee inventory management and control.
• Supervise strip and wax crew operations (experience preferred).
• Obtain and maintain reliability security clearance.
• Knowledge of preferred vendors such as Ecolab, Tennant, and Globe is an asset.

Candidate Profile

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience in floor care, including scrubbing, buffing, and polishing floors, is advantageous.
• Proficiency in operating cleaning machinery and equipment.
• Effective communication skills to interact with supervisors, clients, and the public.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Successful completion of a clear criminal background check is mandatory.
