About the Role
We are collaborating with a prominent global professional services company to onboard a motivated Entry Level IT Service Desk Analyst for a 12-month fixed term contract, located in Sydney, with possible placements in Melbourne, Brisbane, or Perth. This role provides an ideal platform for early-stage IT professionals to develop their careers within a large-scale enterprise setting. You will join a cooperative Service Desk team responsible for supporting employees across the organization, gaining hands-on experience with enterprise technologies, IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices, and ample career growth prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for internal IT support, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while addressing various IT incidents and service requests.
- Deliver first-line technical assistance related to hardware, software, and Microsoft technologies.
- Record, track, and resolve incidents and requests through the ServiceNow platform.
- Troubleshoot issues involving desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and business applications.
- Escalate more complex technical problems to specialized support teams when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and create knowledge base articles.
- Operate within the ITIL Service Management framework, guaranteeing incidents and requests comply with best practice standards.
- Provide outstanding user support across multiple office sites.
- Participate in ongoing improvement efforts within the Service Desk function.
Candidate Profile
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a corporate IT environment in roles such as IT Service Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Support; or an ambitious IT graduate with commercial exposure from internships or placements.
- Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar disciplines.
- Practical experience working with the ServiceNow system.
- Familiarity with the ITIL framework and IT Service Management concepts.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities combined with a proactive and positive mindset.
